AUTOMATIC1111 (A1111) is the original Stable Diffusion web UI and still the easiest entry point for image gen. Slider-based UI, huge extension ecosystem, friendly for casual generation. Less active than ComfyUI and Forge but the community knowledge base is enormous.

SD 1.5 needs 6–8GB VRAM, SDXL 12GB+. Slow to load on first run while it pulls models.
